HNSKY 4.0.4, HyperLeda and Simbad queries to the map

De laatste versie van het planetarium programma HNSKY heeft een nieuwe toepassing. Het is mogelijk om voor een geselecteerd gebied in de kaart alle objecten uit de online HyperLeda and Simbad database weer te geven. Dit kan handig zijn om elke fuzzy te indentificeren

HNSKY planetarium program version 4.0.4 has been released. With this version you can display any query from the online HyperLeda or Simbad databases directly in the map.

Usage:

– Hold the right mouse button down and pull a rectangle.
– Release the mouse button and select Online query, Hyperleda or Simbad. After a few seconds the objects within this rectangle will be displayed in the map.

Hyperleda is best integrated and gives deep sky dimensions and orientation within the rectangle. Simbad gives only the position, not the object size.

Note that the data is stored in supplement 2. Save this supplement 2 to make it permanent.

Only the result of NED queries goes still to the browser. I’m working on a NED interface.
