Ik vond het eens tijd om een DSLR-only foto te zoeken voor het neusje van deze maand. Ik viel, al zoekende, van de volgende even van mijn stoel. En wat blijkt? Het is gewoon van onze eigen @mauricetoet ! :)
Opgenomen op lokatie nabij de Alpen, op zo’n 700 meter boven zee-niveau. Een niet al teveel opgenomen onderwerp genaamde “Lynds Bright Nebula 437 en Sh2-126”. Echt prachtig bewerkt vind ik zelf en indrukwekkend dit met een DSLR te bewerkstelligen. Ik kopieer even zijn uitleg erbij, alsmede de CN-link voor de discussie aldaar.
“Here’s another image of which I acquired the data previous week in Southern France (1130 km from my light polluted home town in the Netherlands). This is in Lacerta (the Lizard) roughly halfway between Deneb and the Andromeda Galaxy. This area of the sky isn’t imaged very often. LBN 437 is the dense (relatively speaking!) S-shaped molecular cloud just to the top right of the image centre. You might even recognise a lizard in it, making it a lizard in the Lizard. Sh2-126 is the red emission nebula.
Integration time of 6 hours and 50 minutes with 5 minute subs acquired at ISO 1600 with a Baader modified Canon EOS 5D Mark II and a Takahashi Epsilon-180ED (F = 500 mm f/2.8) on an Astro-Physics Mach1 GTO. Guided with a Lacerta MGEN standalone autoguider. Focusing with a loupe on the camera’s LCD-screen and a Bahtinov mask in front of the aperture of the telescope. During the night the SQM recorded readings of 21.6 to 21.7.”
Focusing met een loupe op het LCD scherm is een nieuwe voor mij overigens, interessant.
