Ik wilde toch even dit persoonlijke bericht aan mij van iemand op CN delen; dit is de essentie van wat de hobby voor mij is en de essentie van uitwisselen van kennis en informatie. Iets wat niet altijd bij iedereen een speerpunt lijkt te zijn op sommige fora. ;)

One thing I have found about the Internet (and truely after all of these years still impresses me) is the ease at which we can communicate with one another across vast distances. But, more than the distances, the ability to overcome language and cultural differences; now that is what CN does well. And it’s accomplished by the simple act of being nice and considerate. Imagine that!!!!!

I know we are all bound together by our hobby. But that could easily unravel if we were not careful. Since the goal of CN is to promote amatour astronomy we are able to keep it together. Thus, the study of the stars overcomes, (at least for a moment) our human differences.”
