AT2019abn is ontdekt op 22 januari 2019 in M51. Dit is een blink vergelijking (voor de animatie even doorklikken naar de forum versie) tusen een archiefopname die ik in april 2018 maakte met een 16×300 seconden stack van 4 februari 2019 02:20-03:55 UTC. Dit is mogelijk een LBV variable in voorstadium van een type IIn Supernova, dus een leuke om in de gaten te blijven houden. Dit is een 500% weergave, AT2019abn is te zien in de spiraalarm “midden onder.”

Dit is 48x 300 sec Luminance op 6 februari 2019. Vreemd om een individuele ster op 21 miljoen lichtjaar zichtbaar te kunnen maken want het is (nog) geen supernova, het is een zeldzame LBV (Luminous blue variable) die een supernova kan worden. Vooral de 3D helderheidsplot laat AT2019abn duidelijk zien.

Ondanks de bijna volle Maan wou ik eens zien of ik die ster ook/nog kon vastleggen met mijn 150mm refractor. Ik had 28 beelden van 300s gemaakt, daarvan moesten er 6 verwijderd worden door overtrekkende wolken. De SN staat er toch nog op, zie https://astrob.in/396410/0/
hmmm, toevallig gisteren ook een plaatje van geschoten… Diezelfde ster is ook daarin te zien.

Heb je wat meer technsche info erbij? Ik neem aan dat dit met de Esprit 150 en ASI 1600 cool is.
Goed geraden Kees! Inderdaad SkyWatcher Esprit 150ED met field flattener en Starizona MicroTouch focuser met eigenbouw planetary gear, ZWO ASI1600MM Cool met ZWO filter wheel, unguided 10Micron GM3000 HPS. Belichting 10 x 120s Lum, R, G, B, H-a, O-iii (laatste O-iii was matig vanwege binnentrekkende bewolking), totaal dus 2uur belichting. Opgenomen met SGP, verwerkt met APP (4x H-a, de rest 1x). Post-processing en gecropped met Paint Shop Pro. Hopelijk later deze week nog wat data bij schieten.

Eergisteren nog wat data bijgeschoten van M51, wederom unguided, in totaal nu 30x 120s lum, Ha, O-iii en rood, 20x 120s, groen en blauw. Processing in APP (0.5x lum, 4x Ha, rest 1x), nabewerking in PSP.
