ParticipantAfter installing the latest update APP throws following error. Indeed, I had to remove the (hidden) license file and enter the data again.

HaverkampParticipantHmm, good thing, I put the warning message there.
On my Macbook, I haven’t experiened this yet.
Let me know if it happens again.

ParticipantI noticed that IP and MAC address is added, maybe those weren’t present in my first .APPlicense file? I will let you know.
March 16, 2017 at 20:07 #12609
HaverkampParticipant? hmm, no IP and MAC shouldn’t be in your license files I think… if you place a space wrong in the licensfile, the file is corrupted, maybe that was your earlier problem? You shouldn’t touch or alter the file, at least, there is no need for it. The security uses the info from the file, but the actual verification is off course done on my license server, so changing expiration date in your file, won’t have the effect of an extended license ;-)

Participantso changing expiration date in your file, won’t have the effect of an extended license ?
A challenge … crack APP :-)

HaverkampParticipantwaaaahhh

MusquetierParticipantLicensing didn’t work the initial attempt but after restart of APP I was able to activate it. Now I’m able to open the APP app but I’m puzzled how to proceed…
March 16, 2017 at 22:55 #12634
HaverkampParticipantIf the license information isn’t filled in precisely, the activation will fail. Even a space after your expiry date will give a failed attempt.
Luckily, you managed to get APP started @musquetier ;-) !

GroenewoldParticipantJust FYI, reinstalling APP with the latest version caused the license issue as well on OSX.

ParticipantFYI, installing the latest version, didn’t cause the issue for me (one time only affair I guess).

My mistake, after a reboot (Mac OS) the dialog is triggered again, deleting the .APPlicense file and re-entering the registration data is needed.

HaverkampParticipantI’ll test this on my macbook, thanks for mentioning this

ParticipantA bigger problem, I can’t register anymore (in other words, can’t use APP) it seems that the mac adress protection has kicked in (request to reset my counter ? ).
I’ve only installed APP on my iMac … it seems that one mac adress is on the awdl0 (virtual peer2peer device from Mac OS) … how the other 3 are determined, on which NIC, beats me.

ParticipantMy mistake :-). And now in English, the installation of APP 1.033.3 went well, however, the installer registered another mac-adres then a few hours ago. The latter could be a result of the changes as implemented.
Even afwachten, de installatie van APP 1.033-3 is qua registratie met een ander mac-adres dan vanochtend gebeurt (dit kan n.a.v. jouw wijziging zijn).
