Ik b.v. :-) best handig voor Ha opnamen, maar ja 48 megapixels RGB is sneller dan 16 megapixels R, G, B. Een iets genuanceerder antwoord, in geval van lichtvervuiling is een continue, filterloos gemaakte opname waarschijnlijk niet zo goed als een R,G,B gefilterde opname omdat de natriumlijnen precies tussen G en R invallen.

Zit ik mij soms ook af te vragen, zeker met de condities hier in NL. Wat ik gaaf aan deze opname vind is hoe het lijkt of de centrale, grote blauwe ster lijkt te reflecteren op de stofwolk.

Ik heb een vergelijkbare vraag ooit op @Bula ‘s site gesteld, het antwoord:
Three rules of thumb to follow would be:
- If you have less then 15-20 frames, use median integration without sigma clipping
- If you more than 15-20 frames and less than 40-50 use average integration and outlier rejection with kappa 2.5 & 2 iterations.

Hier nog een plaatje van het fenomeen op een gestackte foto. Ik zie dat het op de eerste noncropped foto wel erg lastig te zien is als je niet kunt inzoomen.

Bvb default staat alle frames gelijk gewicht, maar is quality van de frame niet belangrijker …

De Helix nevel staat gunstig 28-30 graden boven de horizon, leuk om 2 uur ha op te nemen, de enkele ruwe subs die nu binnenkomen zien er veelbelovend uit. helix

Prachtig, kan me niet herinneren dat ik vaak dat staartje aan de bovenkant zie in opnames. Maar dat kan heel goed mijn selectieve geheugen zijn. Welke camera is dit?

De boog heeft wat meer integratietijd nodig, dit is de tussenstack (autostretch) van 9×15 minuten van afgelopen nacht. Komende nachten nog even verder. Het is de QHY16200 camera. Helix-9x900sec-auto

Update: door een API wijziging van Helioviewer.org waren de laatste images van de SunToday widget van de zon in HMI Cont. & AIA 304 niet meer beschikbaar, n.a.v. hiervan heb ik enkele parameters aangepast in de plugin, et voilà.

Hoi Theunissen, ik kom er nog even op terug. Ik heb de startrails inmiddels ook kunnen vaststellen op de individuele opnames – ze zijn absoluut niet makkelijk te zien maar op een 600s sub met het O3 filter zag ik ze staan, zie hieronder. De lijnen lopen altijd horizontaal en altijd naar dezelfde kant, naar ‘rechts’. Iemand een idee?dark blooming

WIP want ik heb nog veel te weinig data (3x16x600 seconden RGB, totaal 8 uur) om deze duistere stofwolken en omgeving goed helder in beeld te brengen. Maar het is goed om tussendoor even te kijken of er al wat van te maken is. Dit is een speciale uitdaging want behalve de donkere stofwolken is er ook een niet blauwe reflectienevel te zien (IC2087)…[Read more]

Er staat nog een bijzondere nevel op, Gyulbudaghian’s nebula (links in beeld) en zo te zien heb je hem op een helder moment te pakken. Prachtig overzicht zo Yves!
