Het andere molecuul waaruit deze komeet bestaat is Cyanogeen (het molecuul (CN)2). Samen met de door @paulvolman genoemde diatomisch koolstof zorgt dit, onder invloed van zonlicht, voor de groene kleur. Bovendien is hij daardoor bijzonder giftig en stinkt ie behoorlijk naar amandeltjes….
